This is a front view of a dial indicator and mounting brackets. The dial indicator is a precision tool used to measure shaft misalignment.  The dial indicator is attached to the shaft of the motor using a mounting bracket. This dial indicator bracket has a base and supports used to hold the dial indicator securely in position on the shaft while measurements are taken on the surface of the coupling.
