Tricia Jones is a Ph.D. candidate in Curriculum and Technology at the University of Michigan School of Education. Her research interests focus on documenting the impact of technology on teaching and learning activities. Tricia also serves as the evaluation coordinator and an instructional designer at the University's Office of Instructional Technology.

Gail P. Baxter is a Research Scientist in the Center for Performance Assessment at Educational Testing Service. She has done extensive developmental and evaluative work on classroom-based performance assessments. Her work has examined the psychometric qualities of performance assessments and the correspondence between student scores and the thinking and reasoning underlying their performance. In addition she serves on the National Academy of Sciences committee on the Foundations of Educational and Psychological Assessment.
