Ellen R. Cohn PhD is Director of Instructional Development, School and Health and Rehabilitation Science, University of Pittsburgh. She is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders, and Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, where she teaches in the area of applied healthcare communication. She has authored numerous articles and a book on the topic of cleft palate and craniofacial disorders, as well as distance education manuals in rhetoric and communication.

Gary P. Stoehr, PharmD serves as Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Associate Dean for Student and Academic Affairs, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, and is a recipient of the 1998-1999 University of Pittsburgh Chancellor's Teaching Award. Dr. Stoehr is a frequent presenter at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy on topics such as "metaphoric thinking as an active learning strategy in an inquiry-based course" and "shifting the learning paradigm: promoting professional inquiry."
