Duane Szafron is a Professor in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta. His interests focus on using programming languages, tools and environments to integrate artificial intelligence in computer games.

Mike Carbonaro is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta. His interests focus on the application of computer technology in the area of teaching and learning as well as the relationship between computational cognitive modelling and human learning.

Maria Cutumisu (M.Sc.) is pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University of Alberta, Department of Computing Science. Her interests range from virtual machines to generative design patterns and scripting languages for agent behaviors in interactive stories.

Stephanie Gillis (B.Sc., B.Ed.) is a teacher at Holy Trinity High School in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her interests include integrating technology into the curriculum and using technology to reach a broader student audience. Her future plans include graduate studies.

Matthew McNaughton (M.Sc.) is a Research Associate in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta. His interests are in robotics, artificial intelligence, and software systems. Matthew will start a Ph.D. program in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon in fall of 2005.

Thomas Roy is an undergraduate student in Computing Science at the University of Alberta. He is currently working as a student researcher in the Industrial Internship program. His interests focus on graphics in 3D computer games. He is also considering future work in electroacoustic music and applications for computers in music.

Curtis Onuczko (B.Sc.) is an M.Sc. student in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta. He is currently doing research on the topic of generative design patterns in computer role playing games.
