A Laboratory Course for Undergraduate Students of Phonetics
Anders Eriksson, Umeå University

Anders Eriksson was born in Piteå, in the north of Sweden in 1939. After secondary school and military service, he spent a year at the Geneva Art School. This was followed by studies of mathematics, physics and philosophy at Gothenburg University. B.Sc. 1966, M.Sc. (Physics) 1968. Ericsson worked as a secondary school teacher of mathematics and physics in Swedish secondary schools, and from 1993 to 1995 as a secondary school teacher of mathematics in Zimbabwe. He then studied linguistics at Gothenburg University, receiving his Ph.D. in 1991. He is currently senior lecturer of phonetics at the Department of Philosophy and Linguistics at Umeå University since 1993.
