Timothy A. Philpot
Timothy A. Philpot is an Assistant Professor in the Basic Engineering
Department and a Research Associate for the Instructional Software Development
Center at the University of MissouriRolla. Dr. Philpot received a Ph.D.
degree from Purdue University in 1992, an M.Engr. degree from Cornell
University in 1980, and a B.S. from the University of Kentucky in 1979,
all in Civil Engineering. Dr. Philpot teaches Statics and Mechanics of
Materials and is the project director of the U.S. Department of Education
grant that supported this work. Dr. Philpot is the author of MDSolids
Educational Software for Mechanics of Materials.
Richard H. Hall
Richard H. Hall is an Associate Professor of Information Science and Technology
at the University of Missouri-Rolla. He received his BS degree in Psychology
from the University of North Texas, and Ph.D. degree in Experimental Psychology
from Texas Christian University. He is the director of UMR's Media Research
Laboratory, and his research focuses on Web Design and Usability Assessment.
