Media Efficiency during Learning using DAB Radio: An Initial Educational Study

Dr. Nigel Beacham is a Research Fellow and a member of the Dyscalculia and Dyslexia Interest Group, within the Mathematics Education Centre at Loughborough University. He is particularly interested in Human-Computer Interaction issues in Educational Technology and the relationship between the usability of user interfaces and the use of computer technology in education. He has 10 years experience in computer-based learning development, and is currently focusing on user interfaces within educational technology for people with disabilities such as dyslexia and dyscalculia.

Prof. James Alty has worked for over 30 years in Human Computer Interaction. He has published many Journal and Conference papers. He is currently a Professor of Human Computer Interaction at Middlesex University and an Emeritus Professor at Loughborough University. Until recently he led the IMPACT Research Group which had a DAB Research Laboratory and carried out research into the effects of media combinations on E-Learning.
